Obituary for Mr. Chad Allen Holt
Chad Allen Holt passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. A visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 pm Saturday, June 17, 2017 also at Peterson Funeral Home. Interment will follow services in the Carlisle City Cemetery. Chad was born on June 19, 1981 in Des Moines, Iowa to Stan Holt and Brenda Carolus. Chad graduated from Carlisle High School and worked as a mechanic.
Chad didn’t live his life like most people. He was a free spirit who loved to travel and fish and be outdoors. Chad had a very generous heart and was willing to help anyone at the drop of a hat. He was a hands-on guy who enjoyed working on different things and fixing things for people. Chad liked to have a good time and did whatever he could to make sure those around him were smiling and having one too. Chad touched so many people along the way and made friends in every chapter of his life.
Chad is survived by his parents Stan Holt of Des Moines and Brenda Carolus of Ankeny; sons, Cadeon Holt and Dominic Latham; siblings, Shayne(Kim) Patterson, Heidi Patterson, Mattie Thomsen and Taylor(Tim)Boesen; grandmothers, Connie Smith and Maxine Nall. Memorials for Chad may be made to Brenda Carolus on behalf of Chad’s children Cadeon and Dominic.
