Margaret Mary Pisle, 85, died at 1:02 PM on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio. Margaret was born on February 4, 1931, in Prairie City, Iowa, to the late Lester Love and Leila (Peck) Love. She married Russell I. "Rusty" Pisle Jr., on March 16 1951 in Carlisle, Iowa. He survives in Cridersville, OH. They had been married almost 65 years. Margaret graduated from Carlisle High School, Carlisle, Iowa; Colorado Women's College, Denver, CO; and Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa. She was a Registered Dietition and worked as a Dietitian at Lima Memorial Hospital; Massillon State Hospital, Massillon, OH; Knox College, Galesburg, IL; Community Memorial Hospital, Hicksville, OH; Paulding County Hospital, Paulding, OH; Dallas Lamb Foundation, Payne, OH; Indian Lake Manor, Lakeview, OH; Aukerman Medical Center, Jackson Center, OH; Mary Ann Brown Residential Facility, Lima, OH; Physicians, Inc., Lima, OH; Oakwood Forensic Center, Lima, OH; Lima Convalescent Home and Lockhaven Apts., Lima, OH; Dr. James T. Bowlus, M.D. Inc, Elida, OH. She also practiced her dietetic skills on her family and friends. She directed the Children's Choir at Peace Lutheran Church. She was a member of the AAUW (American Association of University Women), Sorosis Club and St. Luke's Lutheran Church, its Martha Circle and choir.
She is survives by a daughter, Mary (Terry) Stepleton, of Lima, OH, a son, John (Heather) Pisle, of Lima, OH and a daughter, Cathy (Bowman) Brown, of Charlotte, NC; six grandchildren. Andrew Stepleton, of Lima, OH, Megan (Christopher) Fenton of Croton-on-Hudson, NY., Shana (Dr. Brian) Taylor, of Lima, OH, Kevin (Eleni) Pisle of Columbus, OH., Meredith (Sam) Sinclair of Hingham, MA. And Alex Brown of Charlotte, NC; a brother, Glen Love, of Des Moines, IA. She was preceded in death by a sister Evelyn Love and her two brothers, Donald Love and Robert Love and a sister-in-law Beverly Love. The family will receive friends from 1 to 5p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio, and one hour before the service at the church. A memorial service will be at 11 A.M. on Monday March, 7, 2016 at St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Lima, Ohio. Pastor Michael Hughes will officiate. Interment will be at a later date in Carlisle, Iowa.
