Beverly Jean Carrel, age 76, was born in Des Moines, moved to Carlisle in 1947 graduated from Carlisle High School in 1956, worked for the Yellow Pages with Southwestern Bell in California until 1993 moving back to Des Moines Southside. Beverly passed away June 4, 2014 at Bright Kavanagh in Des Moines. Survivors include her brother, Dean Carrel of Carlisle; nieces, Diana Carrel and Dorena Carrel of Carlisle; nephews Dan and Duane (Amanda) Carrel of Carlisle; great nieces, Abigail Streyffeler and Taylor Carrel and great nephews, Jonathan Carrel and Hunter Manriquez. She was preceded in death by parents, Francis and Hazel (Bierma) Carrel and great niece, Addison Carrel. Memorial Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. Burial will follow in the Carlisle City Cemetery. A family and friends luncheon will follow at the Carlisle Family Life Center. A Special thank You to the great care given to Beverly at Bright Kavanagh House.
