Dominick John Peno, 86, entered the gates of heaven surrounded by his loving family on December 10, 2012, at The Taylor Hospice House in Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday, December 14, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Carlisle. Visitation time will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday also at the church. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Interment will follow in the Carlisle City Cemetery with Military Honors. Left to cherish his memory are: Daughter Juanita (Terry) Callahan of Belton, MO; Son John (Evie) Peno of Carlisle, IA; Son Ron Peno of Carlisle, IA; Son Tom (Sandy) Peno of Carlisle, IA; Son David (Amy) Peno of Raytown, MO; Son-in-law Doug Heston of Carlisle, IA; and Daughter Vickie (Roger) Anderson of Stanhope, IA .
