William A. Eberman was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, February 26, 1824. On February 26, 1850 he was married to Mary Tomlinson in Pittsburg, Pa., and thirteen children blessed this union. In 1858 they moved to Des Moines, Iowa where they lived until 1861 when they move to Pleasant Hill. It was about this time that Bro. Eberman united with the M.E. church to which he has always remained loyal. He was always interested in the advancement of the redeemer’s kingdom and the progress of the church of his choice. He proved in his life that the religion of Christ is able to guide men in their plans. Bro. Eberman helped to make this country. The pioneers who planned for schools and churches builded better then they knew. His home was an ideal where all were welcome. Four years ago the old home farm was sold, and he has since resided with his daughter. His wife and ten children preceded him to the spirit world. About eighteen months ago he suffered with a stroke of paralysis, since then he has been in poor health. At 5:40 o’clock on October 31st, he quietly fell asleep, aged eighty years, eight months and five days. He is survived by his son, Joseph T., Wilber F., and his daughter, Mrs. Laura Parr. Funeral conducted at the home of Harris Parr by the writer, a former pastor. C. W. P.
