Alice Hadley Cochran
Alice Hadley Cochran, daughter of John W. and Elizabeth Hadley was born near Lacona, Iowa, November 19, 1878 and passed away suddenly Saturday, July 28, 1956 at the home of her daughter in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 77 years. For many years she resided near Lacona and was a member of the Lacona Methodist church. On April 28, 1914 she was united in marriage with John William Cochran. To this union twin daughters were born. She was preceded in death by her husband and two brother – Ben and Otis Hadley. Surviving are the two daughters, Mrs. Jack Woodward of Omaha, Neb. And Mrs. John Horne of Kinston, N.C. and four grand children. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Clarence Needles of Lacona and three brothers, L. E. Hadley of Chariton, M.W. Hadley of Lacona and C. R. Hadley of Liberty Center. Funeral services were held at the Mosher Funeral Home in lacona, Iowa, Tuesday, July 31, 1956 at 2 P.M. Rev. Pierce was in charge Interment was in the Cochran cemetery at Lacona.
