John Lukin

Obituary -John Lukin.
John Lukin was born in White Breast township, Warren county, Iowa, June 2, 1858 and died at his home in Franklin township, Warren county, Iowa, November 17, 1908, at the age of 50 years, 5 months and 15 days.
He was married to Miss Emma Kerr January 24, 1884. To this union was born five children: Charles, Roy, Veva, Don and Harry, all of whom with their mother still survive. His father died when he was 9 years old and his mother six years later. He was the youngest in the family of nine children, only one of the number, now being left, Mrs. Lou McNeill of
Milo. His whole life was spent in the vicinity where friends and relatives mourn their loss. He was an energetic, wide-awake farmer and will be greatly missed by his family and the entire county. Funeral services were conducted by C. S. Fair at the home November 16, in the presence of a large audience of neighbors, relatives and friends. The interment took place at the Lincoln cemetery, four miles west of Knoxville. The Masonic brethren, of which the deceased was an honored member, attended in a body and had charge of the services at the grave.
