William H. Ford
(Mar 10, 1838 - Dec 19, 1902)

Wm. H. Ford was born in Mouguehule Co., West Virginia, March 10, 1838 and died at his home in Milo, Iowa, December 19, 1902 at the age of 64 years, 9 months and 9 days. He moved to Warren county, Iowa about 1858 and was married to Hannah Maxwell in March 1862. To this union was born four children, three sons and one daughter. The three sons Alfred, Elsworth, and Frank survive him.
His wife died May 2, 1888 and he was united in marriage with Mrs. Martha Chase, January 1, 1890.
He united with the Friends church about 18 years ago and expressed himself to his family during his last sickness, "That he had made his peace with God" and was ready to die. A good citizen, a kind husband and father has gone to his reward. Funeral services were conducted by C. S. Fair at Ackworth, Sunday, December 21, after which the body was consigned to the narrow limits of the tomb. [copied from a list of obituaries by Rev Charles S. Fair]
