Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 5-1-2005:

Jordan Lee "Jordie" Trehy, 59, died Thursday, April 28, 2005 at Kavanagh on Grand. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2005 at Hamilton's Funeral Home.

Jordie enlisted in the Marines and last worked in construction doing cement work. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, outdoors and music.

Jordie is survived by his children, Micheal Bendt of Salt Lake City, UT, Jordan Bendt of Long Beach, CA, Leoda Olsen of Dixon, TX, Missy Platt, Becky Brown, Jenny (and Mark) Doland; Libby Trehy, Samantha Trehy, Dianna Trehy and Jason Trehy; his 16 grandchildren; father, John Richard Trehy; five brothers and four sisters; the mother of his children, Deborah "Louise" Trehy. He is preceded in death by his mother and two sisters.

Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to his family in his name.
