Brenda Lea Gass, 46, of Carlisle died of cancer Thursday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, with burial in Carlisle City Cemetery.

Mrs. Gass was born in Lacona and had lived in Carlisle for 23 years. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Keith; two sons, Randy and Adam, and a daughter, Taylor, all of Carlisle; her mother, Wyona Shupe of Lacona; two brothers, Terry Tigner of Des Moines and Brenton Tigner of Lacona; and three sisters, Trudy Ernst and Valarie Quinn, both of Lacona, and Lola Spear of Milo.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Richardson Funeral Home in Carlisle, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to John Stoddard Cancer Center.
