Gerry Dean Thompson Sr., 36, of Indianola died Sunday, May 5, 1996, at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City of complications following a bone marrow transplant. Visitation with family will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, at Overton Funeral Home, where services will be held Wednesday, May 8, at 2 p.m., with burial at Indianola IOOF Cemetery.

Mr. Thompson was born in Des Moines and had lived in Indianola most of his life. He was a junior analyst for the Principal Financial Group in Des Moines and was a member of the National Guard.

Survivors include his wife, Nadine; a son, Gerry Jr., and twins, Matthew and Stephanie, all of Indianola, his parents, Bob and Pat Thompson of Indianola; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, F.J. and Marilyn Dittmer of Lacona; and a sister, Debbie Moffitt of Indianola.

Memorial contributions may be made to a college trust fund for his children.
