Funeral services for Leo Elmer Spurgin, 91, will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Overton Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Sandyville Cemetery.

Mr. Spurgin died early Sunday at the Indianola Good Samaritan Center.

He lived all of his life in Sandyville until moving to Indianola four years ago. He owned and operated a general store in Sandyville for many years and was later employed by the former Metcalf Oil Co., of Indianola until his retirement. He was a member of the Sandyville Christian Church.

His wife, Ora, died June 26, 1982.

Surviving him are his daughter, Leora Hunter of Indianola; a great-granddaughter, Vicky George of Des Moines; a great-grandson, J.L. Hook of Lebanon, Ore.; and two great-great-grandsons. Also surviving is one sister, Audrey Samson of Long Beach, Calif.
