Funeral services and burial were held Wednesday at Mingo for Mrs. L. A. (Lizzie) Boucher, who died July 7 at Des Moines General Hospital following an illness of two weeks.

The daughter of Michael and Mary Slykhuis, she was born Dec. 24, 1891 near Knoxville. On Nov. 9, 1910 she was united in marriage to Lafe Boucher and lived at Mingo since 1919. Her parents, husband, three sons, three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, three sisters and three brothers preceded her in death. She was a member of Mingo Methodist Church, Women's Society of Christian Service, and a Gold Star Mother of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are two sons, Mike of Mingo, and Lee of Knoxville; five daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Clara) Townsend of Colfax, Mrs. Harvey (Nellie) Bell of Medford, Ore.; Mrs. Francis (Marianne) Peck of Des Moines, Mrs. Mae Deaton and Mrs Glen (Marguerite) Smith of Mingo; 23 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Josephine) Hendrix of Knoxville, and Mrs. Art (Jessie) Van Eck of Melcher; and one brother, Henry Slykhuis of Knoxville.
