Lyle F. Sinclair, 83, of Indianola died of cancer Tuesday at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. The body was cremated, and graveside services will be at a later date at Independent Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery in Indianola.

Mr. Sinclair was born in Zale, S.D., and had lived in Indianola 30 years. He had worked for Warren Ready Mix in Osceola and been an over-the-road truck driver with Lester Heavy Hauling. He enjoyed fishing, listening to country music and being a volunteer at county music festivals.

He is survived by his wife, Opal; a step-son, Everett Pritchard of Hartford; a step-daughter, Faye Ramsey of Conway, Ark.; three brothers, Junior of Indianola, and Leonard and Jerry, both of Washington State; three sisters, Imogene Weeks of Indianola, Mary Lou Styles of Woodburn and Phyllis Matheson of Missouri; 12 step-grandchildren; and 12 step-great-grandchildren.

Overton Funeral Home in Indianola is handling arrangements.
