Obituary from an unknown newspaper on 12-9-1982, photographed from an Obituary Book at the City Library in Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA:

Guy Shoemaker, son of Enos and Henrietta Shoemaker, was born in Marion County Ia., Jan. 19, 1892, and died at the Good Samaritan Home in Indianola, Nov. 19, 1982 at the age of 90.

He lived most of his life in the Motor and Milo communities. On Aug. 7, 1912 he was united in marriage to Uree Belle Hukill. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this last August.

Guy was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, and a sister.

Besides his wife, Uree, Guy is survived by his son, Raymond, grandchildren Betty Coffman of Milo, Robert Shoemaker of West Des Moines.

Also surviving are seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Guy was an honorary member of the Milo Lions Club and he also served on the ASC Committee for several years.

Services were held Nov.22 at Mosher's Funeral Home in Milo, with the Rev. Matt Leach officiating. Interment was at the Belmont Cemetery.
