William Joseph Seuferer, 80, of Melcher-Dallas died of Alzheimer's disease Monday, April 18, 1988, at The Good Samaritan Alzheimer's Unit in Davenport. Services were held Wednesday, April 20, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Mr. Seuferer was born in Lacona and lived in Melcher-Dallas 17 years. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Catholic church.
Surviving are his wife, Emma; six sons, Paul of Marshalltown, Kenneth of Chariton, Harold of Des Moines, Jerry of San Jose, Calif., Duane of Indianola and David of Pleasantville; two brothers, Herman "Jeff" of Penion Pines, Calif., and Larry of Des Moines; three sisters, Irene Dittmer and Florence Ripperger, both of Lacona, and Mildred Ripperger of Casper, Wyo.; 22 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Alzheimer Unit in Davenport.
