Richard John Seuferer, 82, of Clear Lake died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 1996, at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City. The cause of death was not available. Services were held Oct. 26 at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City.
Mr. Seuferer was born near Lacona. He lived in the Lacona and New Virginia areas until 1973 when he moved to Plymouth where he worked for the Cerro Gordo Park Commission, moving to Clear Lake in 1988. He was an Army veteran of World War ll.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva, in 1988.
Survivors include a son, Ron Burkholder of Clear Lake; two daughters, Raeleen Mundhenke of Watertown, S.D., and Eleanor Bornstein of Charles City; two brothers, Floyd and Giles of Lacona; four sisters, Gladys Dittmer of Lacona, Hildreth Osborn of Des Moines, Beatrice Osborn of Altoona and Lorraine Johnson of Norwalk; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
