Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 10-22-2000:

Joseph Lee Schrader, 10-year-old son of Jeff and Rhonda Schrader of Indianola, died of pneumonia Friday at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial at IOOF Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Joseph was born in Des Moines and had lived at Children's Habilitation Center in Johnston most of his life.

In addition to his parents, surviving are two sisters, Erica Fretwell and Jessica Schrader, both of Indianola; his grandparents, Dennis and Linda Schrader of Indianola, Nill Almendinger of Bullard, Texas, and Karen Lawr of Beech; his great-grandparents, Nadine Almendinger, Willis and Vadis Fry and Frieda Schrader, all of Indianola, Naomi Overton of Mitchellville and Kenny Lawr of Mercer, Mo.; and his great-great-grandfather, Cephus Wright of Summerset.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Habilitation Center in Johnston or Mercy Hospital Pediatrics in Des Moines.
