Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 9-1995:

Ivan Max "Ike" Schrader, 77, of 8055 Warren Drive died of a kidney ailment Monday at home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lacona, and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Schrader was born in Melcher-Dallas and moved to Des Moines three years ago after farming in the Lacona area most of his life. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his wife, Helen; a son, Dale of Des Moines; a daughter, Fern Haskins of Bella Vista, Ark.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at Mosher Funeral Home in Lacona, where the family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa or his church.
