Roman George Schneider, 83, of Melcher-Dallas died of an aneurysm Sunday, Dec. 17, 1995, at home. Services were held Dec. 20 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Melcher-Dallas, with burial at the church cemetery.

Mr. Schneider was born in Warren County and farmed in the Lacona area all his life. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife, Eleanor; two sons, Larry of Melcher-Dallas and Ken of Lacona; two daughters, Mary Lou Putz and Carol Putz, both of Lacona; a sister, Victoria Wadley of Des Moines; a brother, John of Lacona; 23 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
