Allen Albert Konrad, 84, of Lacona died of pneumonia Wednesday, March 11, 1998, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Services were held March 14 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lacona, with burial at the church cemetery.
Mr. Konrad was born in Lacona, where he farmed most of his life.
Survivors include his wife, Alice; five sons, Giles of Lacona, Wayne of Wheatridge, Colo., Vince of Milo, Mel of Cumming and Richard of Indianola; a daughter, Marilyn Konrad of Des Moines; two brothers, Gerald of Arvada, Colo., and Gib of Thorton, Colo.; a sister, Helen Zearing of La Habra, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.
Mosher Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at Mosher Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 7 to 8 p.m. and where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
