Funeral services were conducted for Joseph Michael Knochel, April 14 At St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lacona, with Father Robert Weis officiating.

Mosher Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements with burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, Lacona.

Joseph Michael Knochel was born Oct. 13, 1897 in Beatrice, Neb., and died April 11 at his farm home near Lacona. Most of his life was spent on the farm near Stratton, Colo.

On Feb. 17, 1925 he married Clara Weibel of Stratton.

Surviving are his wife, Clara; and one son, Ferdinand, at home; daughters, Mary Marnell of Chariton, Marcella Schaefer, Ida Ripperger, both of Lacona, Betty Ann Wachter of Milo; brother, Carl and sister, Clara Knochel, both of Stratton, Colo., brothers (rest of obituary missing)
