Peggy was born January 8, 1949 in Des Moines, Iowa to Oral and Laura (Thorn) Kimzey. She grew up in Milo and graduated from Southeast Warren High School in 1967. She was married to Howard Phippen on January 11, 1968 in Omaha. They were blessed with three sons: Rick, Gary, and Rob.

Peggy worked as a housekeeper for many years helping many families and businesses. She enjoyed being with her friends and family. She was very caring, generous, and loving. Everyone will remember her joyful and bubbly personality. Peggy enjoyed square dancing, playing cards, fishing, and playing Farmville. Her Quaker Parrott “Manny” was a great joy to her as well.

Peggy passed away September 26, 2011 at the age of 62 years. She will be missed by her husband Howard of Milo; her sons: Rick (Tiffany) of Indianola, Gary of Springfield, MO, and Rob of Indianola; 7 grandchildren: Justin, Nikki, Shane, Brant, Carver, Laura, and Taylor; and 2 great grandchildren: Logan and Kylie. Also surviving are her sister, Pam (Joe) Hughes of Osceola and nephew, Bob Hughes.

Private services were held Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Goode’s Chapel Cemetery near Milo. For those desiring Memorials may be made in care of Peggy’s Family. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.pierschbacherfuneralhome.com . Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Milo was entrusted with the arrangements.
