Funeral services for Joyce Kay Benge, 46, of 703 N. Howard will be held Monday, July 2, at 2 p.m. at Overton Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Indianola City Cemetery.

Mrs. Benge died of cerebral aneurysm on Thursday, June 28, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. She had been hospitalized since May 15.

Born in Clarke County, she was graduated from New Virginia High School in 1956. On Aug. 11, 1956, she was married to Jim Benge. She had worked at The Bankers Life in Des Moines foe several years and presently employed as a cook at Indianola High School. She attended Farmers Chapel Church.

Surviving are her husband, Jim; one daughter, Cindy Benge of Cohaset, Minn.; three sons, Jeff of Indianola and Terry and Steve at home; her parents, Kenneth and Edna Kimzey of New Virginia; three brothers, Robert Kimzey of Linn Creek, Mo., and Bill and Max, both of New Virginia; and a twin sister, Janice Candle of Macksburg.

A Joyce K. Benge Memorial Fund will be established by the family.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Joyce K. Benge, daughter of Kenneth W. and Edna Woods Kimzey, was born March 11, 1938, in Clarke County. She died Thursday, June 28 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines at the age of 46 years.
She graduated from New Virginia High School in 1956. On Aug. 11, 1956, at New Virginia she was united in marriage to Jim Benge. They had four children, Cindy, Jeff, Terry and Steve.
She worked for Bankers Life Company in Des Moines, and for the past eight years she was employed as a cook at the Indianola High School.
Surviving her are her husband, Jim, one daughter, Cindy, three sons; Jeff and wife Teresa, of Indianola, and Terry and Steve at home. Also surviving are her parents, Kenneth and Edna Kimzey of New Virginia; three brothers; Robert Kimzey of Linn Creek, Mo., Bill Kimzey and Max Kimzey both of New Virginia and her twin sister, Mrs. Janice Caudle, of Macksburg and other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services conducted by The Rev. John W. Long were held Monday, July 2 at the Overton Funeral Home. Interment was in the Indianola City Cemetery.
