Obituary from The Record-Herald and Indianola Tribune newspaper, Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA on 6-26-1986:

Lena Estella Schnathorst, 95, of Newton died of a heart attack Friday, June 20, at Embassy Manor in Newton. Services were held Monday, June 23, at First Assembly of God Church in Newton. Burial was in St. John's Evangelical Cemetery in Newton. Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Schnathorst was born in rural Mingo. She lived in Laurel before moving to Newton, where she had lived since 1941. She had worked as a private nurse in Newton and Marshalltown and was a member of First Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include a son, Glen of Indianola; two daughters, Ruby McGrath of Redding, Calif., and Wanda Ingraham of Laurel; two brothers; 17 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 59 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild.
