Obituary from an unknown newspaper, date unknown, photographed from an Obituary Book at the City Library in Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA:

Lester Raymond Keller (more familiarly known as "Hi" Keller), son of John and Jennie Keller, was born at St. James, Minn., Mch 29, 1897 and died in Des Moines, July 29, 1970 at the age of 73 years and 4 months.

When he was still a small child, his family moved to Warren County in the Milo community. In 1903 they moved to Ackworth where he lived the rest of his life.

As he was growing to manhood, he attended the Ackworth school and Indianola Community Schools. Through the years he attended the Ackworth Friends Church.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War I and has been a member of the Warren Post 165, American Legion in Indianola and also of Warren Barracks 1647, World War I Veterans.

At Rolfe, Ia., Mch. 23, 1923 he was united in marriage to Mabel McKim. Two children came to bless their home, a son, Max, and a daughter, Helen.

They lived for several years on farms east of Ackworth and in 1940 moved into the town where they have lived the last 30 years. He was in the trucking business and, with his wife, who was postmaster, had a general store in Ackworth for many years.

For 45 years he attended the Iowa State Fair and worked most of that time in the Stock Pavilion.

He is survived by his wife, Mable of Ackworth; the daughter, Mrs. Helen Sneller and her husband Jacob of Des Moines; the son, Max and his wife, Freda, of Indianola; six grandchildren, Mrs. Marcia Sneller Ohde and husband Douglas of Des Moines, Joe Sneller of Des Moines; Don, Ron, David and Dennis Keller of Indianola; two sisters, Miss Edith Keller of Ackworth and Mrs. Bertha Blake of Indianola; two brothers, Robb Keller of Cairo, Mo., and Dr. Elmer Keller of Adel; a host of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Paul Hadley and the Rev. Glen W. Lamb July 31 at the Overton Funeral Home. Interment was in the Ackworth Cemetery.
