Obituary from an unknown newspaper, date unknown, photographed from an Obituary Book at the City Library in Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA:

John Franklin Keller, son of Jacob G. and Matilda Keller, was born in Peoria county, Ill., Sept. 21, 1854, and died May 31, 1947, at his home in Ackworth at the age of 92 years, 8 months and 10 days.

He came to Warren county, Ia., in the spring of 1876 and spent most of his life in farming, with the exception of a few years in Illinois and Minnesota.

He was the second child of a family of 14 children of whom nine grew to maturity, and only three survive.

He was united in marriage Sept. 3, 1883, to Jennie Burnett. To this union were born four sons and two daughters. Wilson F. died in August, 1913, (missing text) and since that time his daughter Edith has helped to make the home.

He united with the Christian Union church at Hammondsburg in 1894.

In the spring of 1903 the family moved to the Ackworth community where he has been a member of the Ackworth Friends church, for a number of years.

He is survived by his five children, who were with him during his last illness. They are: Robert L., Cairi, Mo.; Mrs. Bertha Blake, Des Moines; Dr. Elmer H., Adel; Miss Edith Keller and Lester R., Ackworth. Other relatives are a son-in-law, three daughters-in-law, 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Reece, St. James, Minn.; Mrs. Maggie Spear, Lacona; Mrs. Edith Shirck, Kansas City, Kan.; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services were held Monday, June 2, at Ackworth church, conducted by Rev. Neil Myers and Miss Edith E. Smith. Burial was in Ackworth cemetery.
