Charlotte A. Lovell, 88, of Melcher-Dallas, Iowa died Tuesday, March 05, 2013 at Knoxville Hospitals & Clinics.

Charlotte was born on September 26, 1924 in Knoxville to Frederick & Charlotte (Goering) Kading. She was united in marriage to Glen Lovell on July 17, 1941. Charlotte was a homemaker and a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church in Melcher-Dallas. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, playing cards, square dancing and raising all of her kids. Charlotte especially enjoyed hosting Thanksgiving dinners and all 100 people that would attend.

Survivors include, five children: David (Shirley) Lovell of Knoxville, Velma (Dan) Luscri of Melcher-Dallas, Robert (Faye) Lovell Rock Island, Illinois, Linda (Mitch) Enfield Melcher-Dallas, Jerry (Jackie) Lovell of Melcher-Dallas, 25 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law: Virginia Lovell and Elinore Rigel. Preceding Charlotte in death is her husband Glen Lovell; three children: Charles Lovell, Barbara Payton, Donna Jones and two sons-in-law; Norman Payton and Rodney Jones.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday at Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas. Visitation will be Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Pierschbacher Funeral Home. Interment will be in Dallas Cemetery. Memorials may be given to either Melcher-Dallas Rescue Unit or Columbia Rescue Unit.
