Arthur "Art" Eugene Keeney, 72, of Indianola died of an apparent heart attack Thursday, Feb. 16, 1989, at his home. Services were held Feb. 20 at Overton Funeral Home, with burial in Indianola IOOF Cemetery.

Mr. Keeney was born in Indianola and was a lifelong resident of Warren County. He had farmed before working at Circle B Cashway Lumber in Indianola. He had been a building inspector for the FHA and for the past 15 years had been a self-employed building contractor. He was a member of the Warren County Historical Society.

Surviving are his wife, Frances; a son, Kenneth of Milo; a daughter, Marian Griffin of Knoxville; a sister, Susie Young of Indianola; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
