Memorial services for Dorothy Ione Wood, 93, who died Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at The Village in Indianola, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, October 11 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Private burial of cremains will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Indianola.

She was a lifelong resident of Warren County. Before moving to The Village in 1996, she spent the summers in Pequot Lake near Brainerd, Minnesota and the winters in Mesa, Arizona for 30 years. She was a homemaker and liked flowers and reading.

She is survived by sons, Donald (Margaret) Wood and Richard (Janet) Wood, both of Indianola; daughter, Betty Forst of West Des Moines; brother, Herbert Judkins of Lake Havasu, AZ; sister, Helen Brommel of Indianola; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Paul preceded her in death on October 5, 2001.

Memorials may be designated to the Good Shepherd Fund at The Village.
