Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 2-6-1966:

Services for Charles Loren Dorrell, 80, of 4225 N.W. Eleventh St., will be at noon Monday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home.

He was dead on arrival Friday at Broadlawns Polk County Hospital after suffering a heart attack on a bus in downtown Des Moines.

Burial will be at the Baptist Cemetery at Winterset.

Mr. Dorrell was born in Madison County and lived 43 years in Des Moines. He previously lived in Boone.

He was a barber before retiring in May 1953, and was a graduate of the Des Moines Barber College. He was a member of the First Church of the Open Bible.

He is survived by cousins.
