Obituary from The Record-Herald and Indianola Tribune newspaper, Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA on 1-23-1984:

Funeral services for Georgia June Rodgers, 93, were held Thursday at Milo United Methodist Church, the Rev. Matt Leach officiating. Interment was in the Pleasantville Cemetery.

Mrs. Rodgers died Jan. 17 at the Pleasant Care Nursing Home in Pleasantville, where she had been a resident the past nine years.

The daughter of Samuel and Anna Jessee, she was born in Pleasantville June 16, 1890, and spent her childhood there. She attended and was graduated from Pleasantville school. As a young girl she attended and joined Pleasantville Methodist Church.

Prior to her marriage to Vance Rodgers on Feb. 26, 1913, she taught in rural Pleasantville schools for several years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vance, her parents, three brothers, one sister and a great-grandson.

Survivors include three daughters, Helen (Mrs. John) McElwee of Milo, Hilda (Mrs. Conrad) Perry and Louise (Mrs. Chester) Walker, both of Indianola; two sons, Leo of Milo and Dean of Indianola; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mosher Funeral Home of Milo was in charge of arrangements.
