Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 8-20-1992:

Marvin Frank "Whitey" Jacobs, 80, of 305 N.W. Scott St., Ankeny, died of a heart attack Tuesday in Omaha. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady's Immaculate Heart Catholic Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.

Mr. Jacobs was born in Milo and had lived in Ankeny 40 years. He retired from Des Moines Area Community College. He worked at Holmes Honda.

He is survived by a daughter, Lynette Christiansen, and a son, Rory, both of Des Moines; three sisters, Velda Samuelson of Des Moines, Anna Maye Pederson of Ankeny and Frances Hoffman of Lacona; a brother, James of Porum, Okla., and four grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ankeny Funeral Home, where the family will be present. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
