Obituary from The Record-Herald and Indianola Tribune newspaper, Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA, date unknown:

Betty Hensel, 72, of Milo died of emphysema Sunday, Jan. 12, 1997, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at Mosher Funeral Home in Milo, with private burial of the cremains at a later date.

Mrs. Hensel was a lifelong resident of Milo and had retired as Milo postmaster. She was a member of Milo United methodist Church, Milo American Legion Auxiliary and the Retired Postmaster Association.

Survivors include her husband, Don; a son, Ron of Des Moines; two sisters, Edna Caviness of Indianola and Hazel Keil of Redford; and a grandchild.

Memorial contributions may be made to Milo Fire and Rescue Unit.
