Obituary from an unknown newspaper on 7-2-1970, photographed from an Obituary Book at the City Library in Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA:

Services for Frank Erwin "Frank" Hypes, 77, of 310 S. Third St., will be at the Peterson Funeral Home today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Mr. Hypes was being taken to Veterans Hospital, Des Moines, by relatives Tuesday morning, and died at the Indianola Fire Station before firemen could administer oxygen.

He had been a Indianola resident since 1944 and prior to that had farmed in Polk County. He was a member of First Baptist Church and Lyons-Butler Post 4123, Veterans of Foreign Wars, being a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include his wife, Nellie; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services for Frank E. Hypes, 77, of Indianola, who died Tuesday at his home here, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Peterson Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial in the IOOF Cemetery.
Mr. Hypes, a retired farmer, is survived by his wife, Nellie.
