Obituary from an unknown newspaper, date unknown, photographed from an Obituary Book at the City Library in Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA:

Doyle Earl Hutt was born on a farm near New Virginia, Ia. Aug. 19, 1924 and died of a heart attack at Winterset April 26, 1970, at the age of 45.

He attended rural schools and graduated from Indianola High School in 1942. In September, 1942, he went into the Army Air Corps, served as a tail gunner during World War II, and was honorably discharged in August, 1945. While in the service he received many decorations and citations including the Air Medal with three Oak Leaf clusters.

He was united in marriage to Telma Dougherty in June, 1947. To this union two children were born, Sharon, 21, and Dennis, 17.

Most of his life he was a carpenter and worked with the Haworth Construction Company. He was a fine finish worker and never did anything halfway, whether in his work or with his family. His family was his life and always thought of everyone else----never too busy to help another. Memories of this man will be lasting.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma, and children; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Hutt; and five brothers, Floy, Don and Larry of Indianola, Ivyl and Bob of Des Moines; other relatives and friends. One infant brother, Merlin Dale, preceded him in death.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. G. Estel Hines April 28 at the Overton Funeral Home. Interment was in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
