Obituary from The Record-Herald and Indianola Tribune newspaper, Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA on 9-23-1974:

Orrel Belle Westerly, daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Davis Hoover, was born Feb. 18, 1894, at Berwick and died Aug. 21, 1974, at the Indianola Good Samaritan Center after a lengthy illness. She was 80 years of age.

Orrel was married at Lacona Feb. 6, 1918 to Roy Westerly. One son, Merle Vernon was born to this union.

She is survived by her husband, Roy; son, Merle, and daughter-in-law, Thelma; two granddaughters, Lila Konrad and Barbara Westerly; one great-grandson, Mark Jeffrey Konrad; four sisters, Clarice Snuggs, Ruth Elmendorf, Allie Curtis and Laura Curtis; and one brother, John Hoover.

Services were conducted by John W. Long, assisted by the Rev. Howard Lord Aug. 24 at the Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial was in the Liberty Center Cemetery.
