Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 3-2-1989:

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Newton Foursquare Church for Della Pearl Walker, 94, of Newton, who died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Skiff Medical Center. Burial will be in Newton Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Walker was born in Murphy and lived in Jasper County most of her life. She retired as owned of Walker's Cafe and was a charter member of Foursquare Church.

Surviving are a son, Ivan of Newton; five daughters, Odetha Schnathorst of Indianola, Roberta Barkley of Wichita, Kan., and LaVera Eaton, Yvonna Anderson and Della Moore, all of Newton; a sister, Lola Baty of Newton; 28 grandchildren; 72 great-grandchildren; and 31 great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 8 a.m. today at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home, where the family will greet friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
