Richard Keith Hodson peacefully passed away in his sleep at home on January 3, 2013. Born to Harold Keith and Helen Hodson and raised in Indianola, Iowa, Rick moved to High Point, North Carolina in 1982 after graduating from Iowa State University. He was a strongly dedicated member of his community, both in professional and volunteer commitments, as well as a loving father, brother, and husband.

Rick is survived by his wife, Lizbeth Anne, son Harold Keith, daughter Kathryn Anne, sisters, Margaret Jane Utley and Markoline Johnson, and a large extended family. A dedicated family man, he has been a devoted husband for 30 years and inspirational father for 26. His family hopes to continue the positive influence he has had on the local community, and will forever keep his strong character and values in their hearts.

His family will receive friends at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, IA from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 10. The visitation will be followed by an 11 a.m. service at the funeral home with burial at a family plot in Sandyville Cemetery.
