Obituary from an unknown newspaper, date unknown, photographed from an Obituary Book at the City Library in Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA:

Viola Rebecca Fight, daughter of John and Mary Fight, was born near Bauer, Marion County, on May 26, 1893, and died at the Good Samaritan nursing home in Indianola on July 21, 1981, at the age of 88 years.

On December 8, 1915, she was united in marriage to Floyd McNeer. They spent their first 10 years on a farm near Milo. In 1925 they moved to a farm southwest of Chariton, where they lived for the next 40 years.

She was an active member of the Christian Union Church in Milo as long as her health permitted.

Viola is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; her mother and father; one brother, Will; two sisters, Ella Arnold and Ella Gunzenhauser.

She is survived by one brother, Fred of Milo; four sisters, Nanie Langebartels of Lacona, Carrie Moser of Ames, Gertrude Derrough of Milo, Doris Fight of Nevada; 26 nieces and Nephews, and a host of other relatives, friends, and neighbors.

Services were held July 25 at the Milo Christian Union Church, with burial in the Milo I.O.O.F. cemetery.
