Obituary from an unknown newspaper, date unknown, photographed from an Obituary Book at the City Library in Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA:

Nellie Edith Fawcett Goode, daughter of Isaac B. and Mary Jane Chapman Fawcett, was born Feb. 18, 1881, south east of Pleasantville in Marion County.

She moved with her parents to Warren County at an early age. She was the wife of Clarence A. Goode, who died March 26, 1931.

Nellie has always lived in the Milo, Lacona, and Beech areas with the exception of four years South Dakota.

Nine children were born to this union of which seven are still living. Isaac Leo passed away in 1973 and Fred Lewis passed away in 1982.

Those surviving her are Esther Crawford of Des Moines, Lucille L. Champlin of Indianola, Fern Burns, Alberta Akers, Freda Garrett, Guy Goode and Ralph Goode all of Pleasantville. She is also survived by one sister, Eden Trotter of Indianola, 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren, a number of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held March 12, 1983, at The Peterson Funeral Home with John J. Taylor officiating. Interment was in the Sandyville Cemetery.
