Sandra Kay Redding was born December 11, 1961 in Oskaloosa, Iowa the daughter of Grant and Priscilla (Allsup) Rankin.
Sandra was raised on her parent’s farm near Bussey, Iowa. She attended Twin Cedars Schools, graduating with the Class of 1980. In the Fall of 1980 she went to work for the Iowa DNR at the Wallace State Office Building in Des Moines. She was currently an administrative assistant for the DNR. In her spare time, she enjoyed listening to music, playing guitar, baking and her pets. Her greatest joy was being a mother to her son, Jesse.
Sandra passed away on Monday, December 17, 2012 at the University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics at the age of 51 years.
Those left to honor her memory include her son, Jesse Redding (Nichole) of Knoxville, parents, Grant and Priscilla Rankin of Bussey, brother, Mike Rankin (Dawn) of Knoxville and her in-laws, Tom and Gay Redding of Bussey and many other family members and friends.

The family invites relatives and friends to the Second Floor of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum for a time of lunch and fellowship following the committal service.
