Obituary from an unknown newspaper, date unknown, photographed from an Obituary Book at the City Library in Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA:

Mona Bales, 97, of Indianola died of a heart ailment Friday, Feb. 16, 1990, at the Good Samaritan Center, where she resided. Services were held Feb. 19 at Mosher Funeral Home in Milo, with burial in Belmont Cemetery near Milo.

Mrs. Bales, who was born in Macedonia, lived most of her life in Milo before moving to the center 10 years ago. She was a member of Milo Christian Union Church and had operated a grocery store in Milo with her husband.

Survivors include a daughter, Erma Petzold of Rogers, Ark.; three sons, Verle of Fort Meyers, Fla., Orlan of Rogers, Ark., and Kenneth of Indianapolis, Ind.; two sisters, Nellie Clark of Indianola and Virginia Parker of Scottsdale, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
