Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 1-17-1991:

Irene Monica Dittmer, 88, of Lacona died of a heart ailment Tuesday, Jan. 15, 1991, at Des Moines General Hospital. Services were held Jan. 18 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rosemount, of which she was a member, with burial in the Rosemount Cemetery.
Mrs. Dittmer, a homemaker, was born in Bauer and lived in the Lacona area most of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen. Survivors include four Daughters, Mary Ann Gray and Hilda Schaffer, both of Des Moines, Norma Gotta of Romeo, MI., and June Rouse of Indianola; four sons, Melvin and Vincent, both of Lacona, Donald of Newton and Carl of Sandyville; two sisters, Florence Ripperger of Lacona and Mildred Ripperger of Casper, WY.; two brothers, Lawrence Seuferer of Des Moines and Herman Seuferer of Cathedral City, CA.; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Mosher Funeral Home handled arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.

Lacona, IA. – Irene m. Dittmer of Lacona died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Des Moines General Hospital. She was 88. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Rosemount, of which she was a member. Burial will be in the Rosemount Cemetery.
Mrs. Dittmer a homemaker was born in Bauer and lived in the Lacona area most of her life.
She is survived by four daughters, Mary Ann Gary and Hilda Schaffer, both of Des Moines, Norma Gotta of Romeo, Mich., and June Rouse of Indianola; four sons, Melvin and Vincent, both of Lacona, Donald of Newton and Carl of Sandyville; two sisters, Florence Ripperger of Lacona and Mildred Ripperger of Casper, Wyo.; two brothers, Lawrence Seuferer of Des Moines and Herman Seuferer of Cathedral City, Calif.; 15 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
