Obituary from an unknown newspaper, date unknown, photographed from an Obituary Book at the City Library in Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA:

Herbert William "Bert" Nutting, 80, retired farmer and stockman, died at his home in Milo Friday Morning.

Funeral services were held at the Milo Methodist Church this afternoon with interment in the Milo I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Mr Nutting served two terms on the Warren County board of supervisors, and was chairman of the board at the time the government grant was obtained for the present courthouse.

Born on a farm in Otter township, he received his formal education in the public schools at Milo and Ackworth Academy. He had farmed most of his life in the Milo community until he and Mrs Nutting moved to Milo about 17 years ago.

He had served as township trustee, township clerk and has held all the offices in his rural school district. He was active in the Methodist Church and for many years taught an adult Sunday school class.

Besides his wife, Elizabeth he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Cyril Spear, Rt. 1, Indianola, and Mrs. Ralph Kunau, Sabula; three sons, Eldon of Indianola, and Herbert and Kenneth of Milo; brother, Ray of Milo, and a sister, Miss Mary L. Nutting of Osceola.

Memorial to the Milo Methodist Church are acceptable to the family.
