Services for Emmo A. Blackford, 68, of 2106 Olive Ave., who died of a heart attack Friday at Mercy Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Gallaway-McLaren's Funeral Home at Norwalk, with burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Des Moines.

Born in Warren County, Mr. Blackford lived in the Norwalk area before moving to Des Moines 36 years ago. He was employed by Merchants Transfer and Storage Co. before retiring 10 years ago.

He was a member of Local 147 of the Teamsters Union.

Survivors include his wife, Olive; five sons, Jack, Jerry and Tom, all of Des Moines, John of Redfield, and Robert of DeSoto; two daughters, Donna Montenguise and Virginia Simmons, both of Des Moines; two sisters, Ethel Davis and Marie Kennedy, both of Des Moines; three brothers, John and Roy, both of Des Moines, and Clell of Norwalk; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
