Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 6-9-1990:

Billie Jean George of 1904 E. 29th St. died Thursday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center of complications of a degenerative arthritic condition. She was 38. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with cremation following the service.

Mrs. George lived in Des Moines most of her life and worked for Maurice's in Johnston for two years.

She is survived by her husband, Darrell; a stepdaughter, Mary Jo Ocker of Ankeny; three sons, Shannon Ruffcorn, Clint Houghton and Joshua Houghton, three stepsons, Doyle, James and Troy, and her father, James Conn, all of Des Moines; her mother, Carrie Hook of Omaha; two brothers, Jordan Trehy of Des Moines and Jim Conn of Waukee; and two sisters, Linda Gipe of Altoona and Penny White, stationed with the Navy.

Friends may call after noon today at the funeral home.
