Obituary from The Winterset Madisonian newspaper, Winterset, Madison County, Iowa, USA on 6-4-1941:

Mrs. Rachael Elizabath Dorrell of Winterset, formerly of St. Charles, died at her home here on Wednesday of last week after a brief illness. She was 36 years of age.

Mrs. Dorrell was the former Rachael Elizabeth Hartfield, daughter of George and Mary Hartfield, and was born near St. Charles on May 30, 1905. On June 13, 1925 she was married to Warren Dorrell. They were the parents of three children, all of whom survive.

At an early age she united with the United Presbyterian church of St. Charles and continued as a member there until moving away from that community.

She is survived by her husband; their three children, Margaret, Berniece and Rex Dorrell; her mother, Mary J. Hartfield of St. Charles; a brother, Tom Hartfield of Bevington; and a sister, Mrs. Ross Rhodes of Winterset.

Funeral services were conducted last Friday from Anderson's home for funerals, in charge of the Rev. N. D. Gordon of Indianola, assisted by the Rev. W. A. Samp. Burial was made in the Montpelier cemetery near Patterson.
