Anne Belle Heaberlin was born November 20, 1912 in Warren County, Iowa, near Beech, the daughter of Wade White and Margaret (Leutzinger) White.

She was raised near Beech until the age 8, at which time her family moved north of Melcher. Anna later moved West of Pleasantville until 1936. On October 22, 1932 she was united in marriage to Ira Heaberlin in Bethany, Missouri. The couple lived in Pleasantville most of their married life, with the exception of a few years in New York while Ira was in the service.

Anna babysat for Pleasantville children for many years. She was also well known for her homemade noodles. Anna always had a warm and inviting home, with her many plants and decorative plates showing her many travels. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Anna was a member of Pleasantville Christian Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Anna passed away Monday, November 12, 2012 at Mercy Hospital, in Des Moines, at the age of 99 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters: Ethel, Alice, Betty and one in infancy and her husband, Ira in June of 1970.

Those left to honor her memory include her sons: Donald Heaberlin (Willa) of Pleasantville and Dennis Heaberlin (Dawn) of Story City, Iowa; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.

Funeral services for Anna Belle Heaberlin age 99 of Pleasantville will be held on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Mason Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pleasantville Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 10 a.m. Friday at Mason Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made the Pleasantville Christian church or to the American Diabetes Association. She is survived by her sons: Donald Heaberlin of Pleasantville and Dennis Heaberlin of Story City, Iowa; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
