Obituary from The Record-Herald and Indianola Tribune newspaper, Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA on 12-6-2000:

Gary Lee Wimberly, 48, of Melcher-Dallas died of heart failure Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Services were held Nov. 30 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Melcher-Dallas, with burial at Liberty Center Cemetery.

Mr. Wimberly was born in Lawrence, Kan., and had lived in Melcher-Dallas most of his life. He was a salesman for Dee Electronics. He was a coach at Melcher-Dallas schools and was a member of the Iowa Coaches Association.

Survivors include his wife, Connie; a son, Ryan of Bismark, N.D., two daughters, Shannon Clark of Pleasantville and Tiffany Wimberly of Melcher-Dallas; his mother, Molly Wimberly of Oakley; a brother, Don of Tok, Alaska; two sisters, Janice Jordan and Karen Hall, both of Pleasantville; and a grandson.

Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas handled arrangements.
